Paul Murray will be live from Charters Towers on August 27 at 9pm for the fifth season of the hit series Our Town.
The highly anticipated event, in partnership with Harvey Norman, will feature hot topics which heavily impact rural Australia.
Mr Murray said he was excited to go live in iconic locations such as Charters Towers.
"I’m stoked to be taking the show on the road again this year to share inspiring stories and events taking place in regional and rural Australia,” he said.
“We don’t often discuss the issues being faced in smaller towns, so for me it’s really important that we continue to visit and meet everyday Australians who live outside the big cities and give them a platform to speak.”
Founder of the successful Charters Towers newspaper, Daniel Sumpton said the event was a huge opportunity for Charters Towers.
“We live in a beautiful town with people who work very hard to keep it that way and often get little recognition,” he said.
“I look forward to many in the country being introduced to Charters Towers and perhaps getting in the car and driving here to confirm that this place is as beautiful as it looks on TV.”
