Acclaimed political and social commentator Daniel Sumpton spent the weekend at The Etheridge Shire attending events to promote the free online news platform, Sumpton News.
Mr Sumpton said he loved the experience and felt people were excited about Sumpton News.

“I have been traveling outback Queensland and telling people about our new platform,” he said.
“It is so important that people in outback Queensland know they can access a news site for free without overpriced subscriptions and nonsense.
“I attended The Etheridge Show which was awesome.
“A key organiser was generous enough to take some of my flyers and have them in a place for locals to take if they were interested.”
Mr Sumpton also said he would be heading to more outback towns to promote the platform.
“Croydon is a big one for us because it’s such a beautiful place with an incredible history,” he said.
