Charters Towers Show 2023
The free online platform Sumpton News was highlighted at this year’s Charters Towers Show, supported by The Towers Pastoral, Agriculture and Mining Association.
The news platform’s founder, Daniel Sumpton encouraged locals and tourists at the event to head to sumptonnews.com and enjoy the free news for all of outback Queensland.
Mr Sumpton said people were rushing to check out the platform.
“Most people already knew about the platform and told me they loved the free news,” he said.
“The few people who didn’t know loved the idea of getting such high-calibre content for free.”
The 2023 Charters Towers Show was heavily covered for the Charters Towers newspaper Sumpton’s Gold Rush Gazette and its expansion, Sumpton News.
Sumpton News had a stall at the event.
Mr Sumpton said he was happy with the progress Sumpton News has made for rural and regional Australia.
“We are really putting places and views on the map like never before,” he said.
“We are making really high quality stuff.”
