Charters Towers community member Katie Dunlop has started a new business in town to fill the ice cream needs of locals.
Birdie is a 4-flavour ice cream bicycle available to hire for private and community events.
Mrs Dunlop said she has enjoyed the new challenges that come from Birdie.
"I have so enjoyed the last 12 months building Md picnics and Grazing and I am so excited to be able to offer a new, somewhat quirky service to help the community celebrate in style,” she said.
"Learning to scoop ice cream is certainly a new skill and so is learning to drive Birdie from place to place.”
Mrs Dunlop also said she looked forward to a bright future with her new business endeavor.
“I look forward to seeing members of the community more and more often, starting with a regular Friday afternoon in Centenary Park,” she said.
